This course aims to equip project managers with the required knowledge and skills in project management in the South African context, based on internationally accepted project management theory, standards, processes, and methodologies.

Practical assignments will allow participants to take on a project from work and plan every phase of the project journey. Concluding the course, participants will have an entire project plan ready for execution within their organisation.

Over the course of 7 weeks, you will be equipped to:

• Describe a real-life example workplace project in the context of your organisational strategy, business case, and stakeholder engagement and communication.
• Develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Statement of Work (SOW) for a workplace project.
• Construct a Comprehensive Network Diagram and Gantt Chart to reflect and inform the project schedule and critical path of a workplace project.
• Utilise activity-based costing to develop, direct, and manage the budget and baseline of a workplace project.
• Report on the execution of a workplace project, with specific focus on variances in project cost and progress.
